A subtly contrasting three-part plinth, built from a vertical stack of ceramic blocks, sits atop a dark mahogany wood stand inspired by traditional Japanese tableware. Soft light unfurls from the narrow gaps between the blocks, diffusing a subdued glow over two inverse curved edges. N04003 was created using a 45-degree angled clay cutting technique similar to that used in architectural model construction, resulting in a near-perfect 90-degree edge that cleanly demarcates the varied textural coatings of each element.
